About Us
AccuFile was formed in 1986 by Georgia Ypsilantis, an attorney and experienced law librarian, and her son, Nicholas Ypsilantis, an auditor with a local public accounting firm. Georgia and Nick saw a need for trained loose-leaf filers at firms of all sizes and for temporary professional librarians at smaller firms. AccuFile was established to fill those needs.
As the name suggests, the bulk of the company’s business in the early years was providing loose-leaf filing services to Boston-area law and accounting firms, but from the beginning, AccuFile was more than a filing service. The very first project undertaken by Georgia and Nick was the complete reorganization of a library for a Boston law firm - a firm that remains an AccuFile client today. Since then, the library services business has grown steadily and now accounts for about 65% of the firm’s business.
Today, with nearly 50 employees, AccuFile offers an array of services in knowledge management and AccuFile isn’t standing still. AccuFile continues to evolve and grow as information shifts from paper to digital formats and as the needs of the legal and library professions change.

Co-founder & Chief Library Officer |

In 1986, Georgia co-founded AccuFile with her son, Nick Ypsilantis, to provide the reliable, professional-grade loose-leaf filing services that her experience at the Social Law Library had led her to believe were needed in the greater Boston law library community. After more than 20 years, loose-leaf filing remains a major focus of the company. Georgia was also instrumental in developing AccuFile’s second major focus, providing the services of trained professional librarians to smaller law firms on a contract basis. In addition to performing managerial and supervisory duties at AccuFile, Georgia continues to serve as librarian for a number of area firms.
