Carol Allison

Law Librarian | callison@accufile.com

 

Carol Allison joined AccuFile in April 2014 as a Law Librarian, bringing 40+ years of experience in managing and providing research services to law firm libraries. Carol earned a BA from Lake Forest College and an MLS degree from Simmons College School of Library and Information Science.

 

Prior to joining AccuFile, Carol served as Information Resource Specialist at Day Pitney LLP, a regional general practice firm of 300+ lawyers, where she provided reference and research support to attorneys and staff across nine offices for 11 years. Prior to Day Pitney, she was the first professional librarian at Peabody & Arnold LLP, and before that, she was library manager at Hill & Barlow PC.

 

Carol has served as Vice President, President, and Technology Chair of the Association of Boston Law Librarians. She was certified by the American Association of Law Libraries in 1982. She was awarded Mass. Lawyers Weekly’s Unsung Hero Award in the Librarian category in 2006.

Carol served on the Board of Directors of a non-profit suburban squash club for 14 years, as Communications Committee Chair, editor of the monthly newsletter, and webmaster.

 

 

Kelli Bacon

Kelli Bacon joined AccuFile in 2002 as a Senior Consulting Law Librarian providing legal and business research, library management and vendor contract negotiation skills for law firm libraries. Kelli has conducted numerous full-scale strategic assessments of law firms’ research centers, large and small, over the past decade.


 

Kelli is graduated from the University of Maine as well as Simmons College School of Library and Information Science.
 

Prior to joining AccuFile, Kelli served as Library Director at the McLane Law Firm and has been a reference librarian and headed up the library at a number of other Boston law firms including Robinson & Cole.  In addition, she operated her own independent research firm, KBI Research, serving law firms and corporate libraries in the Greater Boston area.


The consummate knowledge professional, Kelli works to make sure her clients’ research and library needs are best served by their staff as well as their vendors and research partners.
 

Kelli volunteers on behalf of her favorite local K9 rescue group in her community.


 

 

 


Leslie Bitman

Leslie Bitman, Senior Law Librarian, has been with AccuFile since October 2013.

Leslie received her JD from the Cleveland-Marshall School of Law and her MLS from Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland.  Her undergraduate degree in history is from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
 

Prior to joining AccuFile, Leslie’s first position in Boston was as the reference librarian at the Social Law Library.  Leslie has served as a manager at law firm libraries in Boston and her experience includes working with economic and financial experts who provide consulting services to litigation attorneys.  She has moved libraries, helped libraries develop their electronic resources as they switched from more traditional resources, and specializes in providing legal and business research to attorneys, paralegals, and their staff.  She also provides research support to AccuDesk clients.
 

Leslie is a prior president of the Association of Boston Law Librarians and prior secretary of the Law Librarians of New England.  She has been a panelist on several MCLE programs on legal research.

 

 

Mary Boudreau

Mary Boudreau joined AccuFile in October 2005 as a Law Librarian specializing in legal research and collections.  In her work for client firms, Mary has reorganized library collections and manages a law firm’s libraries in eight other locations.  She has also supervised the revision and relocation of a law firm’s library and oversees its library collection in collaboration with the law firm’s headquarters in Philadelphia.
 

Mary received her Bachelor of Arts in Extension Studies from Harvard University and Master of Science from Simmons College School of Library and Information Science.  She also holds a certificate in Paralegal Professional Studies from Northeastern University.

Before joining AccuFile, Mary was a technical services librarian at the Harvard Law School Library and solo librarian at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy in Cambridge.  She was the solo international law librarian for Bank of Boston, BankBoston, and Fleet Bank where she was compliance officer for the Research and Information Center.  Mary continued as law librarian at the Bank of America Boston law office subsequent to the Fleet merger.


Mary is an Auxiliary Deputy Superintendent with the Cambridge Police Department.

 

 

Steve Brown

Steve joins AccuFile with over 17 years experience as a Records Manager in various industries along with a 22 year career as a U.S. Marine Officer.  Specializing in project management, Steve brings proven managerial and people-oriented leadership skills to every project.  He provides excellent analytical and organizational problem-solving ability to all tasks and is a team player with total commitment to customer service.

 

 

Katherine Coolidge

Katherine Coolidge joined AccuFile in January 2016 as its Senior Legal Research Specialist to help develop both AccuDesk, AccuFile’s virtual research platform, and AccuFile’s business reach into Western Massachusetts.  Katherine also serves in the role of Librarian Coordinator for AccuFile’s librarians in the field.
 

Katherine is graduated from Carleton College, Western New England University School of Law and Simmons College School of Library and Information Science.  She holds Juris Doctor and Master’s degrees and is also a licensed Massachusetts attorney.
 

Prior to joining AccuFile, Katherine served as the solo law librarian for Bulkley, Richardson and Gelinas, LLP with offices in Springfield, Boston and Amherst, MA for twelve years where, among other things, she set up the Boston office law library, right-sized the Springfield office law library and developed and managed the budget process for library operations.  Prior to her role as a solo law librarian, Katherine practiced law in the Springfield legal community for seventeen years.

Katherine is the Executive Secretary of the American Association of Law Libraries and Chair of the Board of Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA.

 

 

Nina Huber

After graduating magna cum laude from Tufts University and cum laude from Boston College Law School and being admitted to the Massachusetts bar, Nina spent several years in general practice for several small firms.  She decided to turn to a career as a law librarian and received her first training as a reference librarian at the Social Law Library for four years. She was then hired as the first professional law librarian at a major intellectual property law firm, creating a record keeping system, accomplishing a reorganization of materials, and providing specialized research assistance to patent and trademark attorneys.  She has been with AccuFile since 2004, working in the libraries of many of Boston’s major law firms.  Since 2009 Nina has been the law librarian at a large Worcester law firm that just celebrated its 100th anniversary.
 

Outside of work, Nina especially enjoys singing classical choral music with the Sounds of Stow and has served on its Board since 2002.  She is an active member of the Appalachian Mountain Club and the Sudbury River Valley Trustees, an environmental group.

 

 

Jane Huston

Jane Huston has been a Senior Law Librarian at AccuFile for four years.  In that role, Jane has served as the Boston Librarian for several law firms, both Boston-based firms and an international firm.  Jane has also lent her expertise to library assessments and records management projects for AccuFile.
 

Jane graduated with a BA degree from Princeton University and a MSLS from Columbia University.  Prior to joining AccuFile, Jane held library manager and director positions in several large law firms in New York and Boston.  She has also managed knowledge management, contact management and records management programs.  Most recently, Jane served as the Collection Development Librarian at the Boston University School of Law Library.
 

In addition to library management, Jane has experience in library design and right-sizing, vendor contract negotiation, database development and implementation, and budget management.

 

 

Lee Katsoris

Lee Katsoris joined AccuFile in December, 1986 and has worked as a Filer, Library Assistant, and Librarian.  She has expertise in loose leaf filing and other library updates, vendor relations, and resolution of billing issues.

Lee is a graduate of Bates College.  Prior to joining AccuFile, she was the Periodicals Librarian at the Social Law Library in Boston for two years.  During her thirty years at AccuFile, she has worked in Technical Services at several law firms, corporations, a law school, and a government agency.  She was involved in moving and setting up law libraries at four Boston firms and also set up a library materials check-in system for a federal agency’s counsel's office in Boston.  Lee has mentored many filers at AccuFile.

Lee is a member of the Law Librarians of New England.

 

 

Maureen Kearney

Maureen Kearney joined AccuFile in September 2015 as a Law Librarian.  She has since assumed responsibility for managing library services at a number of firms on a regular and temporary basis.
 

Maureen graduated from Stonehill College and Simmons College School of Library and Information Science.  She holds Bachelor of Arts and Master's degrees and completed an American Bar Association approved paralegal certificate program at Bentley College.  She was elected a member of Beta Phi Mu, the library and information studies honor society, when she graduated from Simmons.

Prior to joining AccuFile, Maureen was the librarian at Sherburne, Powers and Needham where she created the firm's first centralized library, developed a catalog and introduced reference services.  When the firm merged into Holland & Knight LLP, she became the Library Manager of the Boston office with additional responsibility for the Providence office.  She was with Sherburne, Powers and Needham and Holland and Knight for 30 years.  Prior to joining Sherburne, Powers and Needham, she was the Assistant Librarian at Herrick & Smith.

 

Sharen Leonard

Sharen Leonard joined AccuFile in November 2013 as Senior Law Librarian.  She serves two major Boston law firms.

Sharen graduated from Mount Union College (now Mount Union University) and Kent State University, School of Library and Information Science, both in Ohio.  She holds a Master’s degree in Library Science.
 

Sharen has worked in Boston law libraries for 32 years, 21 of which were spent as the Director of the Law Library for Palmer & Dodge LLP.  Prior to joining AccuFile, she was Senior Manager of Library Services for Ropes & Gray for 4.5 years where she oversaw the move from One International Place to the Prudential Center.  Earlier in her career she worked at the First Circuit Court of Appeals Library and at Goodwin.  During her long career, she has been a library manager, a research librarian, and a technical services librarian and, thus, has wide-ranging experience.
 

For AccuFile, Sharen has been involved in assessing libraries and writing evaluation reports for clients.  She has assisted one of her law firm clients to eliminate unnecessary duplication of resources and to reduce the budget by $130,000 from its high in 2013.  She evaluated and reduced the size of another law firm’s print collection to prepare for the firm’s relocation.

Sharen is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Massachusetts State Library where she is in her second term.

 

 

Mikel Strom

Mikel Strom Joined AccuFile in November 2015 as a law firm librarian, assisting in research and supporting library operations for firms in Worcester and Providence. Mikel is a graduate of Bridgewater State University and Simmons College School of Library and Information Science, where he earned his Masters of Science in Library and Information Sciences.

 

Prior to joining AccuFile, Mikel worked as an academic librarian, supporting medical research in the private sector and at UMass Medical School’s Worcester campus.

 

 

Cornelia Trubey

Senior Law Librarian | ctrubey@accufile.com

 

Cornelia managed the library services at Ropes & Gray LLP, a large international law firm, for over two decades.  Her experience includes organizing and moving library collections, establishing vendor and receipt/billing infrastructures, cataloging (MARC format, LC classification and subject headings) and negotiating contracts with print and online vendors.  She has also worked in academic law libraries.  Since joining AccuFile in 2009, she has helped in the development and testing of ProLib, AccuFile’s library management system.
